Derbyshire Dales PCN at the Matlock 3K Family Fun Run

Posted on:

On Saturday 24 January, Derbyshire Dales Primary Care Network (PCN) joined the Matlock 3K Family Fun Run to meet local residents and talk about health, digital services, and how we can support our communities.

We spent the morning chatting with runners and families about:

  • What the PCN is and how GP practices work together locally
  • How to use the NHS App to manage appointments, prescriptions, and health information
  • How people can get involved through Patient Participation Groups (PPGs)

Events like this give us a great opportunity to step outside traditional healthcare settings and have relaxed, practical conversations with people where they already are. Many residents told us they value being able to ask quick questions and get help face-to-face, particularly around digital access and support.

We’d like to say a big thank you to the event organisers and everyone who stopped to speak with us. We’re keen to continue attending local events across Derbyshire Dales to support digital health, promote involvement, and stay connected with our neighbourhoods.

If you’re organising a local event and would like the PCN to attend, or if you’d like help using the NHS App, please get in touch via our website or social media channels.
