Our team brings together people from different backgrounds who all work together to support GP practices and improve care for local people across Derbyshire Dales.
We work behind the scenes and in the community to make sure services are safe, well organised, and easy to access. This includes supporting patient care, improving how services run day to day, using data and digital tools to make things simpler, and helping people find the right support for their health and wellbeing.
Everything we do is focused on what matters most to patients — making care easier to understand, easier to access, and better connected.
Dr Edward Oakley
Clinical & Managing Director
I am the Clinical and Managing Director for Derbyshire Dales Primary Care Network (PCN) and a GP Partner at Credas Medical. I am committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and passionate about building strong, resilient healthcare organisations across the Derbyshire Dales.
Outside of work, I am a keen triathlete and enjoy the challenge of training and racing. When I am not in the surgery or on the bike, I enjoy spending time with my young family exploring the Derbyshire Dales countryside.
Mark D’Apice
Director and PCN General Manager
I am the General Manager for the PCN, my role is to ensure the organisation has clear strategic direction, strong financial management, and effective, efficient operations. My background is in financial management, and I joined the PCN from a similar leadership role in the education sector.
Since late 2022, I am proud that we have built a strong, dedicated team and developed the PCN from a fledgling organisation into a solid, reputable company.
Outside of work, I am a keen golfer and enjoy restoring and working on my collection of classic cars.
Rick Gooch
Operations Manager
I am the Operations Manager for the PCN, with over 30 years’ experience in senior operational roles, including policing leadership and GP practice management. I now lead all operational activities across the PCN and bring a strong, community-focused approach to my work.
I have always seen myself as a public servant — a value that has guided my entire career. I live in the Derbyshire Dales with my wife and two sons. Outside of work, I am heavily involved in grassroots football as a coach for an under-14s team, as well as serving as League and Referee Secretary for the Derwent Valley Junior Football League. I am also a keen racquetball player and an enthusiastic amateur chef.
Alison Shaw
Clinical Governance & Quality Lead
I am the Clinical Governance and Quality Lead for the PCN, with a strong focus on supporting safe, high-quality patient care across the network. I work closely with practices and multidisciplinary teams to promote effective clinical governance, encourage shared learning, and support continuous improvement. I am also responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, including CQC registration.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and walking our two dogs in the Peak District.
Dr Jolene Briggs
GP & Clinical Lead (Home Visiting)
I am a GP providing home visits on behalf of practices across the PCN and act as the Clinical Lead for the Home Visiting Service. My role is to ensure our multidisciplinary home visiting team — including paramedics, ACPs, ANPs, and GPs — delivers a safe, effective service that supports both patients and practices.
The service works closely with wider community teams such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, mental health services, and social care to help patients remain supported at home and avoid hospital admission where possible.
Outside of work, I enjoy tap dancing, walking my sprocker, Molly, and cooking.
Frayer Walker
Clinical Pharmacist
I am the Lead Clinical Pharmacist for the PCN, with extensive experience across both community and primary care settings. I began my career as a community pharmacist, spending eight years as a Pharmacy Manager where I developed a strong passion for patient care and service development.
I later transitioned into primary care, initially delivering long-term condition reviews in general practice, before progressing through senior clinical pharmacist roles to my current position. I now provide clinical leadership, oversee pharmacy service development, and support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across the PCN.
I am a self-confessed pharmacy enthusiast with a passion for learning and all things pharmacy.
Lottie Boden
Lead Care Coordinator
I am the Lead Care Co-ordinator for the PCN, responsible for leading the Care Co-ordination team and providing operational oversight to ensure safe and effective service delivery. My role also includes overseeing recruitment and onboarding processes, alongside providing administrative support to the senior management team.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, walking my dog, and looking after my horse.
Rachel Reed
Social Prescribing Link Worker
I am the Social Prescribing link worker for the PCN and I support patients in a non-medical way to talk about the things that matter to them. I provide the time and confidential space for people to think about what might make a difference to their lives and how to go about those changes.
I love spending as much time outdoors as I can. Being in nature helps improve most things I think, and I try to incorporate this into my work.
Chris Elkin
Data & Digital Transformation
I am the Data and Digital Transformation Lead for the PCN. I focus on using data and technology to improve how health services work and to make everyday tasks simpler for staff and patients.
I am particularly interested in how artificial intelligence (AI) can help the health service work more efficiently and free up time for patient care. I also look at ways to make the digital front door easier to use, so people can access the right information and services more easily.
Outside of work, I’m a keen cyclist and enjoy travelling and exploring new places in my campervan.
