We are sharing some general information to help explain the different NHS services available and how to choose the right one when you need care.

Many health concerns can often be managed through your GP practice, NHS 111, urgent treatment centres, or community services. 

Using the most appropriate service can help you get the right support sooner and reduce waiting times.

If you are unsure where to go when you’re unwell:

• Contact your GP practice for advice or an appointment
• Call NHS 111 (or visit https://111.nhs.uk) for 24/7 advice on the most appropriate service
• Use urgent treatment centres for non-life-threatening urgent problems
